Monmouth Regional High School “TOUCH-A-TRUCK”

The Monmouth Regional High School Class of 2009 would like to invite your company to join us in our “TOUCH-A-TRUCK” program. This program is designed to introduce kids and their families to different trucks and equipment. Many children only get to see these vehicles from a distance. This program gives them a chance to see and explore trucks up close. This is also a great way for companies to increase their public relations and there is no cost involved.

Each company is required to have a person on hand to answer questions and to supervise equipment. In addition, companies are welcome to hand out brochures and other information.

The event will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2009 in Monmouth Regional High School’s parking lot from 10:00AM to 2:00PM. The rain date for the program is Sunday, April 26, 2009. All proceeds from the program will benefit Monmouth Regional High School’s Class of 2009. Admission is $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children.

Please call Heather Chlapowski at 732-233-3222 or Janice Kroposky at 908-675-0039 to reserve your place at the event.

Eatontown Police Makes an Arrest

EATONTOWN — Two minors were arrested this morning at 4 a.m. and charged with burglary after stealing various items from unlocked cars in the Woodmere section of town, authorities said.

The pair, each 17 years old, were caught on Windsor Drive by Ptl. Anthony Guido around 4 a.m. following a tip from a resident of the street who said he saw someone looking into his car with a flashlight, police said.

One of the two was arrested immediately. The other fled, but was located later, police said.

Both were charged with burglary and theft and were turned over to their parents pending a juvenile court date, police said.

The pair were taking iPods, GPS systems, cash and other valuables, police said.

GPS Thefts

Hello All,
Unfortunately, I come to you with some bad news. It appears that we have a person or persons who have been taking GPS units from motor vehicles. On 11 Jan 09, a person (s) actually broke a car door window to remove a GPS unit in a development off of Sycamore Ave. Last night, unknown person (s) entered two unlocked vehicles and removed GPS units from a development off of Hope Road.
If you value you your property, it is vitally important that you remove it from your vehicles. As we can see, locking the doors is not preventing the thefts from occurring. Also, if you see or hear anything suspicious in your neighborhood, please do not hesitate to call 732-542-4422 or 911. We do not want this person to reek havoc in our northern section of town like last year at this time.
